As a company that loves skateboarding, and the escape it brings, we want to give back to underprivileged kids and adults who don't get to experience this freedom. Political unrest, gang violence and poverty have stripped a lot of communities down in Uganda to the bare minimum, causing children to grow up in a unfriendly environment, where they don't get to explore hobbys.
That's why we have teamed up with the 'Uganda Skateboard Community' to do a charity marathon, in which we aim to raise £500 by the 10th of April.
Currently they are working in Kalangoro Village where people still need things like shoes to be able to skateboard and explore their new park. This money that will be raised will go directly to funding basic equipment (like shoes, decks, wheels etc); building new skateparks around Uganda and to spreading the awareness of this amazing organisation!
Any money would be greatly appreciated by both our organisations, as well as, the people of Uganda, so please donate any money you can spare...
